Licence suspensions, cancellations, disqualifications and restrictions

In NSW, the Roads and Maritime Service (RMS) may apply a licence suspension, cancellation, or disqualification if the driver reaches or exceeds the number of demerit points applicable to their licence, or if the driver commits a specific offense such as excessive speeding. As an alternative, RMS may occasionally allow for enforcement of licence restrictions in the form of 12 month 'good behaviour' periods. For more information see:
